Hi!

We have been pushing out an EFI Firmware password to our devices. I have the same few computers keep returning this error on the policy:

The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.jamfsoftware.task.errors error 188.)

Has anyone ran into this? It has worked great on 99% of the computers. If we have to, we will try manually setting it on each computer.

Thanks!

Yeah im getting same error when I try to remove an EFI Password with a Jamf Policy.

Is there a list of errors that Jamf supplies? It maybe a generic error, but there should be some type of a list to go by.

I haven't seemed to find anything yet. I did fix one by just restarting and trying the policy again then it worked. Another one had a VPN software on it. I removed that, restarted, and ran the policy again. It then completed. I haven't had any since and I haven't removed an EFI firmware password using a policy yet. Hope this might help!
