We have see a few machines that do not seem to complete enrollment if they were previously enrolled into the JSS. The entrie imaging process with enrollment will complete with new workstations.

The only we can get a previously enrolled system to enroll during the imaging process, is by removing the system from the JSS.

Has anyone else seen this and found a way to ensure the systems re-enroll during imaging?

This is not expected behavior - generally the JSS will rebind the computer to the existing JSS object. What is in the log file when the machine fails to enroll? That is generally pretty useful.

This has been happening when using AutoRun Data for us. Not sure but think its a defect. The machine just sits and never enrolls again after imaging.

Yes, this used to happen all the time when we were running v9.3 and v9.6.

The error we got was Device Signature Error - A valid device signature is required to perform the action.

Te remedy was to either remove them from Casper and re-image, or enrol them manually.

Since upgrading to v9.8, it hasn't happened yet (touch wood!) All machines that are in Casper are able to be re-imaged without removing them.
