Error installing Office2011-1442Update_EN-US.dmg:

Set to install as either a self service, or at login, logout, or startup.

Triggers work, but office is still showing up as 14.4.1 throughout the application list. Even if the policy runs at reboot.

Logs show that the package is installing ok...

Downloading https://jds.*.org/CasperShare/Office2011-1442Update_EN-US.dmg... Verifying DMG... Verifying package integrity... Installing Office2011-1442Update_EN-US.dmg... Closing package...

Any suggestions on what to try?

Drag the "Office 2011 14.4.2 Update.pkg" from the DMG and upload that to the JSS.
Create the policy to install the pkg.

try using the package instead of the DMG.

You also might want to take out the spaces in the names as a good habit.

Office 2011 14.4.2 Update.pkg
Office_2011_14.4.2_Update.pkg
Office14.4.2-Update.pkg
etc.

Thanks for the heads up - can I ask how you found out about its existence? The Microsoft Office for Mac website doesn't list it yet http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2970766

When the "Microsoft AutoUpdate" app runs and finds an update, it includes a link.
Sometimes it's even right. :)
