Just wondering what people were using to encrypt external HDDs? We're starting to look at Time Machine as a local backup option, but it misses a few of our security requirements (AD password sync, password expiry, etc.)

Alternatively, has anyone found a way to manage these settings on an external FV2 disk?

If you want to have encrypted external hard drives, I recommend getting hard drives with hardware encryption. IronKey has a enterprise management suite for external drives that should do what you need it to do:
