I would like my Casper Netboot servers to also synchronize the NBI files I create across the board. I would like to drop my NBI into Casper Admin and then have it sync to all netboot servers instead of manually copying it out. Every time I update the NBI file I have to manually copy it out to half a dozen servers. If I could just synchronize them it would make it a bit easier.

Then I have to have a password in a script or set up accounts to access shares via kerberos and I still have to do the leg work. I want Casper Admin to handle it. It would take more time to set up a rsync script via launchd to automate it than it would to manually drag and drop it to 6 servers via ard admin

We actually have our servers on the jss.

All policies are scoped to a group which is based on the os not containing the word server.

This allows us to deploy certain settings & apps from the jss.

We don't have any issues doing it this way.

So, in regards to netboot, you could create a dmg of the netboot folder in caomposer & deploy via casper (as long as the netboots are all hosted on the same filepath).

Yeah I suppose I could snap shot the file path in composer and then drop it into Casper Admin and then push it out to the servers

I would like a feature which allows customized emails based on information
from the inventory collection. For example if a computer has not connected
to the JSS, within 30 days. I could set up a policy with a canned message
which will send an email say your computer has not connected within 30 days,
In 30 days it will be disconnected from the network. We can already send
out emails based on the returned results from an inventory search. I think
this would be possible now if they added sending emails as a policy feature.
We could use smart groups to define the scope of the email message.
