Hey guys,

What Am I missing? I am trying to get filevault 2 setup through the JSS to manage. I am following the guide and it says to look for "Disk Encryption Config" link under the management tab. There is nothing there regarding encryption.

I don't see it at all, anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

-Jeff

If you're running 8.6. and higher, here's the relevant checkboxes in the account privileges:

First thing is, are you running Casper Suite version 8.6 or higher on your JSS? This function made its debut in this version so that's a requirement.

Assuming you are, second, take a look at your account privileges under the Accounts tab. When you first upgrade a JSS to a new version, some of the new features aren't automatically enabled for existing accounts, just for security reasons, so you might need to check a few boxes under the account your using in order to see the "Disk Encryption Configurations" icon.

Thank you! That was it!

Sorry, I am new to all of this haha and that is not in the administration guide.

Have a great day!

They really need role based permissions.
