Firefox version 58.0.2, which was available few days ago, just stoped working.

macOS shows the message that applications should go to Trash.

Version 58.0.1 is available from Mozilla.

Looks like the app's live updater has reverted to 58.0.1 now. Still using 58.0 here...

Did you download and install any Mac software from the MacUpdate site on the first or second of February? If so – and particularly if the app was Firefox 58.0.2, OnyX, or Deeper – you may well have installed a malicious cryptocurrency miner, which has been dubbed OSX.CreativeUpdate.

It appears that the offending link from macupdate.com was deleted on February 1st. The download had a fake mozilla domain address as well:
