Sad, I didn't see any sessions on how to use Git. :(

Although I really must say, using Git after a brief tutorial is far better than reading a 300-page book about it (some actually exist). Create some garbage project you don't care about, and use it in conjunction with github (and their free mac client). Watching things move back and forth is incredibly helpful.
