Seeing a large number of mid 2012 MacBook Airs with the following error in Casper Imaging: "Casper Imaging could locate any drives for imaging". The Hard Drive exists for sure, I can see it on hardware tests and as a boot option but behind the error message dialog box I stated about the Macintosh HD doesn't appear on the desktop. Any ideas?

Is the drive encrypted in any way? The drive shows up and is mountable in Disk Utility?

Nope, searched for file vault and encryption, not turned on. Mountable in Disk Utility

Do you really mean Mid-2012 (MacBookAir5,1 and 5,2) or Mid-2013 (MacBookAir6,1 and 6,2)?

The Mid-2013 MacBook Airs have a different disk controller than earlier models, which has caused some problems for software coded to look for SATA disks. See this thread: http://deploystudio.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?id=5019 for an issue with Deploy Studio that sounds suspiciously similar to what you describe.

If you do really mean Mid-2012 MacBook Airs, then just ignore me! (and I have no idea what might cause your issue)
