Is it possible to migrate or do we need to restart all over.

At our school we 3 sites and have 2 JSS servers. 1 is our own and use for 2 sites and 1 JSS is outsourced and used for 1 site. The outsourced JSS will end at the end of this year. We need to migrate the 137 iPads from the outsourced JSS to our own. Is there an easy way to fix this or do I need top reform all these steps per iPad.

  1. Unmanage the device on JSS 1
  2. Remove other profiles
  3. Create a iCloud Backup
  4. Reset the iPad.
  5. Remove the user from JSS 1
  6. Remove the iPad form prestage on JSS 1
  7. Move the iPad form JSS 1 to JSS 2
  8. Set the correct prestage
  9. Restore the iPad via the iCloud backup

    It may depend on the certs you used on the server(s). If self-signed, you may be able to get away with some DNS entry changes... Otherwise you are likely looking at touching all those iPads. Are you supervising them? I'm not sure I'd recommend throwing a Configurator Mac into this loop, but it may make your life easier.. or harder.

    Perhaps you could give a little more information about your configuration to make our recommendations more specific!
