Question

issue with Firefox 3.6 and Logs from Casper Remote

Hi ,

Since I updated to Firefox 3.6 I cannot longer open the Logs on Casper Remote after deploying packages.
If I enable Safary as default web browser then it works

Has anybody seen this? Any ideas how to fix it?

Many thanks in advance
cheers

Don't use Firefox? :)

Honestly though, I'm really fed up with Mozilla and their complete lack of
any release schedule what-so-ever. (This goes for Apple too) It's
impossible to plan anything when you don't know if the version that you just
customized and packaged up is going to be rev'd tomorrow.

Hi Carmelo,

I am not able to reproduce this issue if I’m doing what you describe.

Start a Casper Remote session Do “something” to a system remotely * Click the View Log button to see the logs for all systems

Worked fine just now. All I use is Firefox....oh wait, that 3.5.8 on my other system. You could always downgrade in the mean time. =)

Ok, just upgraded to version 3.6...

Yup, broken. Will NOT be making Safari my default to do this.

Totally agree
Specially with such a bug in Firefox.
Guess we have to stop deploying Firefox or other non Apple and focus on Apple software????

This has been reported and verified by JAMF and has a DEV id associated with it.

Have a nice Safari day!
