issues with DEP/MDM profile deployment

Anyone have any ideas on the below ? dont think it's a cert issues as we're on a hosted JSS any thoughts/advice welcome?

Actions from policy log: Executing Policy Enable MDM Running script Enable MDM... Script exit code: 6 Script result: Getting management framework from the JSS...
Enabling MDM...
verbose: Attempting to install the mdm profile at the computer level.
Error installing the computer level mdm profile: profiles install for file:'/Library/Application Support/JAMF/tmp/mdm.mobileconfig' and user:'root' returned 1 (The operation couldn’t be completed. (InternalError error 1.))
Problem installing MDM profile.
Problem detecting MDM profile after installation.

Error running script: return code was 6.

Sorry no idea on the solution, but yes we occasionally get similar errors especially when manually running sudo jamf manage. Then you restart and only the main MDM profile is there and the rest of the profiles then take several hours to populate. It is inconsistent though, plenty of machines just work straight away with no issues. But I suspect the whole thing is probably further complicated by all the network / security stuff between the device and the internet.
