Can I assume the reason this is a problem is because iTunes music sharing

Someone may come along and correct me, but from what I can tell the iTunes
library name is stored in ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml. If this
is true then you cannot control this file and still allow students to
modify their libraries. It's not a manageable file.
You have a couple of alternatives, though.
- Disable iTunes music sharing.
This is already a template in the JSS. Log in to your JSS and go to
Management --> Managed Preferences --> Create Managed Preference -->
Create from template and search for iTunes.
Look for "Disable Music Sharing" and click the Create link and go from
there.
This is what I suggest you do. Music and video streaming can quickly clog
a network. I disable it for all users here at work.
- I also see an iTunes preference setting called "lookForSharedMusic".
I'm not exactly sure but my guess is that it allows music to be shared but
disallows browsing for shared music. This is not a template in the JSS and
would have to be created manually. If you'd prefer to set up this then
post back and we can help you.

Careful, IIRC if you have Open Directory managing preferences, Casper
will override those settings when you turn on its management. You can
only have one or the other.
