+24I was considering going to this one, but may wait until the next one in Boston in September. We have yet to move to version 9 here, but will be doing that this coming quarter. I'd rather get a decent number of hours using version 9 under my belt before taking the course.

+24This has been brought up elsewhere, but there really isn't anything to be concerned about with the exam. Attend the course, pay attention to what's being taught, and you'll do fine. Its pretty much open book. Everything that's on the test will have been covered in some manner but just modified from the original exercises, so you'll have the course materials right in front of you to refer to.
And honestly I think you could probably pull up the full Casper Suite admin guide PDF during the test to look something up too and they likely wouldn't have an objection. :)

You'll do fine, and they give you plenty of time. Stick around after the test to see if you passed, and make sure they see everything you've done. Since you can skin a cat 30 different ways with Casper, it is easy to overlook one or another ways of doing something.

+24Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I wouldn't be opposed to going into the city to meet up with folks on one of the evenings after the training.

+12I'm totally into this idea! Would be great to see as many of you as possible that are in the area. The prerequisites for taking the CCA class are currently:
1) having attended a JumpStart performed by a member of JAMF's Prefessional Services team.
2) 6 months of experience using the Casper Suite.
You are allowed to use resources during the exam including our documentation, JAMF Nation, your notes. Pretty much the only resource you can't use is another person - & you can't call JAMF Support. :)

+2Looking forward to this next week in Boston, going the whole week for my CMA and CCA certs. That meet up sounds like a winner also.
+12In terms of the classes Thursday is probably the best day but if that doesn't work for all I don't want to be the final arbiter - this is all about you guys not me. :) The training facility is near South Station so if someone has a place in mind in that part of town to suggest that would be fantastic.
