I'm trying to create a smart group to find all VPN apps. Since many of them have VPN in the title, is it not possible to put *VPN* in as an app name? It doesn't seem to work. It would be nice if LIKE,EXACT, etc were added so you wouldn't have to put the full app name in.

Just tried it with "App Name has VPN" and it worked ok. Looks like you don't need the * characters.

I wasn't able to get it to work either. I put in VPN and came up with 0 hits. I put in Hotspot VPN and got 50 results.

For your Tag of iOS, you should just have to click on Mobile Devices > Smart Mobile Device Groups > + New

Name your Smart Group

On the Criteria tab, click + Add > All Criteria > App Name > Operator = has > and then type VPN in that field.

If you are still having trouble, you can try the wildcards, but those have been changed to % instead of * as of 9.7

If you need this for Mac Apps, it is called Application Title instead of App Name. All the rest is the same
