The best vendors are receptive to feedback, and diligently keep their stuff up to date. This developer welcomed my input (asking to remove the version from application name), and took care of it.
We can now provide this through Self Service, with a bit of logic to accommodate the old versions that included version in name, soon everyone will be up to date, and we'll have an easier time scoping this for our engineers and developers.
