+5Does/has anyone have any experience with managing default applications for
specific files/protocols with MCX (Managed Preferences)? I know I need to
change/add an LSHandler to the com.apple.LaunchServices.plist but am worried
about it hosing any existing Handlers that may already be set within this
plist, also any gotchas that anyone may know of would be great as well.

+36Sorry for bringing up a two year old thread. We need to set default application for PDF (to Preview.app) and ZIP (to Archive Utility.app), without effecting any existing default application settings.
Hopefully this will also be possible without using MCX?
