Id like to setup Smart Groups for Users which we pull in through LDAP. I want to group those on the 'Building' (LDAP Mapping) or 'Office' value from our Active Directory.

I currently have the Building user mapping as physicalDeliveryOfficeName which is the correct attribute in our AD but whenever i run a test on a user it never populates that field.

Any ideas? I cant see what I may have got wrong

All Buildings/Departments must be pre-defined in Jamf Network Organization before they will display corresponding data mapped from LDAP in a Computer Record.

also they have to be exactly the same as it shows in your Active Directory.

The name for Departments also have to be exactly the same as Active Directory... As long as they are when jamf looks up the user if it will populate.

Have a look at https://github.com/jamfit/JSS-LDAP-Sync/blob/master/README.md
