Our current Macs are AD bound. I would like to hear if some of you have measured, how long the startup time is? from turning on the Mac to logged in as the user?

+15I've never timed it, but it's certainly longer than if it were just a local user. Aside from a user being on-network and connected to ethernet, you can make the startup/login time a little faster if you're deploying a configuration profile that sets the cached mobile user account settings. Example: disable background syncing at login or logout, or excluding items from being synced with the user's home folder on the AD server.
+15Update: I rebooted my machine and had my colleagues test their's for funzies.
It took anywhere from 55 - 70 seconds from entering the FileVault password to reach the desktop.
