I'm currently in the process of re-deploying 300+ iPad minis via DEP/Casper as well as adding an additional 300+ for our next school year. In the past I've used the actual iPad name, set one-by-one in Configurator to contain the student's name as well as the asset ID. This isn't very practical and the names can be changed by the users later. I was wondering - is it possible to mass update inventory in the JSS?

I know that using the enrollment profile, generic information can be set for all of the devices (ie: all have the same username, full name, building, etc.) but unique information can't be set for each individual device. Is it possible to upload a spreadsheet and cross-reference that information to individual devices by serial number or another identifier? If not, how have you guys been doing it for your mass deployments?
