Good Morning,

I have been informed that out MDM Push Notification Cert is due to expiry, I understand that I need to run through process which has Jamf authorise the cert... my question is not about that.

However it is about once I go through the process of renewing it how will it effect my current users... will they be asked to install a new cert or will they have no idea I have done it?

Cheers.

We just renewed our cert. It only effects the JSS. Your users don't need to do anything.

Just make sure that you really renew the existing certificate. If you request a new certificate or install a wrong one your clients will not listen to your MDM any more.

@mschroder if iOS, yes that's vitally important.

If macOS, not so much.. I changed the APNS cert at $lastJob. (It was under my personal work account & was leaving there soon after renewal).

For me, the macs picked up the new cert no problem.. but @rtrouton was hesitant about my method so wrote up this
