I've been busy deploying a set of JSSs, one JSS for each of my clients. With one JSS I have encountered an issue that I have not encountered with the others.



What is happening is the OS X enrollment in the JSS seems to be working properly except the MDM profile is not appearing in System Preferences. The devices are appearing as enrolled in the JSS, and so far seem to be functioning normally with the JSS. Policies are executing successfully. So far the only thing I can determine to be amiss is that the MDM profile is not appearing in System Preferences.



MDM profiles for iOS devices are correctly appearing in Settings/General.



Does anyone have any insight as to why the MDM is not installing in System Preferences when enrolled? I am using User Initiated enrollment.

Whenever I have seen this, it's generally because I forgot a check box. Have you verified on the broken JSS that you have chosen "Enable certificate-based authentication" and "Enable push notifications" (both under Security in the Computer Management settings)? Those are the ones that typically get me.

Thanks Steve that was it. I knew it had to be a check box someplace. But my hunt let me nowhere!

I have enrolled nearly 200 machines, sometimes it happened for no reason.
Run this first sudo jamf removeFramwork and re-enrol again should solve this problem.
