Monitoring the JSS's Tomcat installation on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

I've had an issue with my JSS's Tomcat 7 installation going unresponsive over the past couple of weeks. To (hopefully) fix it, I've upped my Tomcat memory allocation and set up a monitoring script to check Tomcat and restart it if it stops running.

Looks like you posted this a while ago. I am running our JSS on RHEL and am looking for a monthly maintenance script like those you posted. Maybe with a little the addition of the mysqlcheck to repair and optimize the MySQL database as well. Have you made any update to this in the last three years you would be willing to share?
