Is spinning up a Netboot server using the NetSUS appliance an option for that site? Or, for that matter is it a requirement to do Netboot? You can image Macs without doing Netboot, but of course you'd need an external drive with a bootable image on it to help. And obviously you wouldn't be able to do a large number of them at once. Is that what you were looking to do?

You might want to take the 'thin' imaging approach if those are out-of-box machines you're dealing with. We have a DeployStudio Server setup in the imaging area that we net boot to to run Mac updates and install the Casper client and then push the rest of the software through Casper Policies. You can also just have DeployStudio push out the rest of your software as well. Not a big fan of casper imaging at this point since we have different groups that should only see specific workflows and that's not an option in Casper yet, but your needs might be different.

The option we are planning on using with building windows VMs away from the main office is this: a bootable hard drive that opens Casper Imaging connected to your main server - and the tech can choose to image off of any of your Distribution Points - and choose the one closest.
