Bump - Just installed on VMWare workstation and we're not seeing it show up either, on 10.8.3.

+1: no NetBooting cross subnets sans that *really* complicated bless command. As far as I can tell, this also prevents any use of a NetBoot-based Casper Imaging workflow for factory/bare metal installs, is that correct? Outside of entering a 100+ character bless command on first boot single user mode that is.

Hi @eric.krause was the encapsulated packets issue you mentioned above resolved with version 3.x of the NetSUS appliance? We are still dead in the water getting the appliance to show up in Startup Disk across subnets with IPHelpers in place and it would be helpful to know if that might be a factor in the failures.

We believe we have identified a scenario that causes the NetBoot appliance to not function as expected. Encapsulated requests are not currently being handled by the appliance. Basically, if the client IP listed in the request is the IP of the router instead of the clients real IP, then the appliance does not respond in a way to support that configuration. We are looking into ways to handle that scenario and will keep everyone posted if there is an update.

Has anyone figured out this prefs pane issue yet?

@DLewtheCEO This is a pretty old thread.

But there are more recent one's advising that on 10.11.3 with a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptor, NBI's will not show in the pref pane (regardless of NBI server).

It seems to be fixed in 10.11.4. Could this be the issue you're seeing?
