I created an image following the instructions here: http://jamfsoftware.com/kb/article.php?id=236.
Everything looks good. I used the netinstall image creator, and again everything looks good. Netbooting works fine.

One strange thing – I can't remote desktop into a netbooted machine, and I can't ssh into one, either. Remote login gets turned off when I run the netinstall image creator. Remote management is still on and looks right, but it won't let me in.

This worked on one of my older netboot images. I have a few mac minis that I do a lot of imaging on, and I normally only access them remotely. Anybody have any ideas for me?

Thanks!
Mark

The image creator seems to strip out some needed components.

This is why I stopped using it.

You could try & install the client again & see if that works.

Ben.

We tried using NetInstall Creator but turned out to be a PITA. We've been getting along fine with NetBoot, where the NBI includes Casper Imaging application.

Are there any real benefits to going with NetInstall Creator workflow vs traditional NetBoot?
