I have never encountered this error before but I tried launching casper admin 9.65 and I get a message "An Exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must be shut down.
Any suggestions?

+35@anickless AFAIK the JSS only supported 10.11 from 9.8+.
Can you try with a 9.8 Casper Imaging?
You'll probably then want to setup a test JSS to test the 9.65 to 9.81 upgrade.
