So we're trying to get our users' Mail app working with their email account over a configuration profile. No matter what we do, we can't seem to get it working for OS X. The same settings, applied in a conf profile for iOS, work without any issues. Anyone knows what the cause of this would be? The results are very random:
- Mail app freezes up with spinning beach ball
- Mail app asks for a new account to be set up
- Mail app constantly asks for user password, even after is has been entered
We've isolated the last issue, it was a cfprefsd issue that is already well known in Apple community, but we can't understand why the configuration profile for Mail for OS X just doesn't work. We're using mobile accounts for our users.
