I was meant to raise my PO for the same some weeks ago. Lucky I didn't.
+24We got the offer to purchase OS software maintenance as well not too long ago (we declined) But to be fair, I actually don't even think the regular sales guys/gals knew it would be free. Apple's pretty tight lipped, even with their own employees. I'm sure they were just following orders from their superiors on trying to sell it before Mavericks' release, so don't blame them.
That said, yeah, I would speak to them about it. Not sure how much joy you'll get but worth asking anyway, especially if you just recently purchased it.
