we have a request for some AV exceptions from an internal developer. They want to exclude javascript, ruby, html, and other source code type files. I'm not super familiar with the security aspects of allowing those unchecked or what virus makers typically target. Any thoughts?

+17I would suggest going with location-based exceptions that malware would not be able to predict and take advantage of. See if you can exclude a specific uniquely-named folder location and have them perform their development in that location to avoid scanning.
