Hello everyone.
A few weeks ago, we uploaded a whole bunch of packages through Casper Admin, and they worked through Casper Imaging, Self Service and Casper Remote. Now, all of a sudden, our iLife, VPN and several other packages have stopped working. The logs for Casper Imaging report "This Apple Package did not have a valid index.bom file. Assuming it is a flat file package." Followed by "Installation failed. The installer reported: installer: Error the package path specified was invalid: '/Library/Application Support/JAMF/Downloads/iLife11.pkg'." They don't cache or install with Casper Remote, but they still work in Casper Imaging, which I find baffling.
The errors from Casper Remote are:
This Apple Package did not have a valid index.bom file. Assuming it is a flat file package. Downloading http://servername:80/CasperShare/Packages//RAWCameraUpdate3.6.pkg... Installing GarageBand6.0.2Update.pkg... Installation failed. The installer reported: installer: Error the package path specified was invalid: '/Library/Application Support/JAMF/Waiting Room/GarageBand6.0.2Update.pkg'.
I don't know why the extra slash is there, (Packages//RAWCameraUpdate3.6.pkg)
I have tried repairing permissions on the server with Disk Utility, and fixing permissions through JSS Utility, reuploading packages and recreating self service policies, Indexing packages, Re-Indexing packages, rebooting the server, restarting tomcat, different target computers, different flash boot devices and I feel like I have to be missing something obvious.
If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. Is there a way to manually force a rebuild of the BOM?
Thanks!
Jamie
