I did a fresh install of Office 2008 Volume and then did all the updates. I then created a package using Composer 8.3 After installing this on a few system we have noticed tons of issues. Office won't save files, won't open files, database corruption. Anyone else see this? Any advice? Thanks!

The easiest way is to toss the Office Installer mpkg and all Update mpkgs into Casper Admin.
Just make sure the priorities are set accordingly
(base installer = lowest, latest update = highest number).

I agree with Chris that tossing the updater .mpkg files right into Casper Admin is a great way to go.

As for "all the updates" you really only need to install two packages to get a fully up-to-date Office 2008 (assuming you're using volume license):

  1. Office Installer (12.2.2) - download this from your volume license page
  2. Office Update 12.3.2

If you're not using the volume license edition of Office 2008 then you'll need to install:

  1. Office Installer (12.0.0)
  2. Office Update 12.1.0 (SP1)
  3. Office Update 12.2.0 (SP2)
  4. Office Update 12.3.2
