I could only find one thread on this from 2012 but am looking for some input. We have a new JSS and have migrated the database over to it but we want all our clients to talk to it now.
What I have tried:
1) Casper Remote - I have tried remote enrolling it and this kind of works. It points the client to the new JSS but it still holds the old MDM
2) Creating a QuickAdd package and pushing it to a machine via policy. Same result. Machine flipped over to new JSS but held the old MDM.
3) push the "sudo jamf removeFramework" command to the client and then used Recon to remote enroll. This worked.
Anyone else have experience doing this. Is option 3 the way to go? I know we can have users self enroll but we would like to avoid that.
