We are seeing huge performance differences when logging in as a local user vs. logging in as an LDAP user. Local users work fine. However, LDAP users suffer from all kinds of delays and pauses. Sometimes a browser window crashes (in Chrome) or a stuck beachball is displayed (Safari.) This most often happens when editing policies (e.g. adding a package to a policy) or modifying configuration profiles.

Are you using a password manager? I've found having LastPass installed causes most of the symptoms you describe. Jamf is aware of it, but at this point don't expect it to be better until 10 comes out. I've gotten used to opening a guest tab to avoid the issue.

Unfortunately, no, we aren't using a password manager.
