I'm trying to apply Software Update server prefs through MCX.
My test machine isn't attached to the domain so I'm not have to think about conflict MCX prefs yet. Instead I get the following when I refresh -

Parsing MCX Data...
Applying Managed Preferences...
Error: Import of Managed Preference Setting "Software Update Server" failed.
Recompositing MCX settings for localhost...

If anyone has any ideas that would be great!

What version is your JSS and what OS is the client running?

JSS is 8.52 and the OS is 10.7 but is something that will need to translate across 10.6,7 and 8.

Are other MCX settings being applied properly? Were you setting MCX from Open Directory?

There are some managed prefs being applied through Centrify so I'm not sure whether I'll have to get that to manage all of the MCX?? Might be easier in the long run.
