Hello! I have a teacher that wants to push a free iBook from the Apple Store to student Macbooks. I know that we can do that using Self Service, but it appears on the student end that they need to have created an AppleID to send the book to. Is there a way to push a book to a device without using an AppleID?

I don't think this is possible. Publishers are afraid of copyright so they want people to enter an apple Id to assign ibooks. Even free ones.
