Hi, I’m trying to manage our recurring license limit in Jamf School since we’ve just renewed a couple days ago. I’ve already released the devices from our organization and they don’t even show up in the Inventory > Devices menu anymore. When I select them under the License Assignment menu, I only get the option to “Assign a Perpetual License” and there’s no option to remove a recurring license:

From what I see the devices still need to be sent to the “Trash” in Jamf School. Until the device is trashed it will continue to hold on to the license. They should still be in your inventory list (check for any filtering you have set). But even if they aren’t there, you can click on each one from this list and then click the ‘Trash’ button in the device options side bar. Once they are trashed, your licenses will come back.

Another item is to make sure you clear all your app licenses BEFORE you trash the devices. Otherwise it won’t release them. Go to Apps > Inventory > select all > click ‘Permanently delete deferred items’ give it a minute or three to process and then you’ll get all of those back too.
