I have a physical NetSUS server we started with, and an appliance. The physical server has a 250GB drive in it and has used 106GB storing updates.

I can't rsync the data over to the new virtual appliance, because the OVF makes a 100GB drive.

Can anyone help with
a) Resizing the partition on the appliance
b) Removing the unneeded updates?

Hi,

We had the same Problems with the Partition.
Try this: http://mattiasgeniar.be/2010/08/27/increase-a-vmware-disk-size-vmdk-formatted-as-linux-lvm/

Worked for me.

Perfect! Thanks. I also found a script to remove unwanted updates. Now we have plenty of space.

Bmeehan, can you post the script you found to remove unwanted updates?
Is this valid on current NetSUS?
