Is there a way to request an inventory update for ALL managed devices. I can click on each one and hit the Blue Circle Arrow under Device Information, but how could I request a manual update for all?

+1The blue circle with a arrow is "Request New Inventory Report" I believe. I have used this to try and get mobile devices to grab new configurations or changes. I have yet to figure out a reliable way to have devices grab changes in a reliable manner. In all cases I have ended up having to restart iPads etc etc to grab the changes. I hope to be able to do this "real time" without having to reboot. I believe if I was to wait for say a day the device would finally get the configuration.

+21I'm getting "Exception submitting PUT XML: HTTP Error 409: Conflict" for every device with the script. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
+1This seems like such a simple thing - but why hasn't this been turned into a feature request? I'm not a python head, and only understand part of the code put out by Jeff, nor are there instructions I could guess at as to how to install the script.
