Is anyone else experiencing an issue with restricted software? I have my JSS set to block terminal access except for a hand full of users in the exclusion list. Names such as System Administrator, my own account and so on appear on this list.

Since Casper 9, the kill and message process, as well as email are working correctly. However, exclusions are not working at all, at least not user based. What this does is blocks users (even maintenance admins in schools) from accessing programs such as terminal, which we just can't have. At the same time I can not open it for everyone, as the k12 environment is filled with students looking for the next new way to break something :)

Any advise is appreciated!

So... This is working completely normally for everyone else?

Nope, this is the same for us as well. I'm actually trying to figure it out now. It's never worked for excluding local users for us. Version 8.X or 9. No idea why. We specifically have our admin shortname and username in both the global exclusion and the one for terminal as well. No dice.

Yeah it's quite annoying when all our IT staff logs in as a local admin to these student machines to do something in terminal and have to exclude the computer and run a "jamf manage" policy in Self Service to correct the issue and then de-exclude the machine and run the policy again when done with Terminal.

Any news on this? Still happening unfortunately.

Anyone else at all having this issue or have any ideas?
