Hi,

we have provided one of our users with an ipad that are managed by casper suite.

due to some work related reason, the user backup the ipad and when he tries to restore the backup on another personal ipad of his, it prompts for a password.

is this due to the casper suite? what suggestions are there for users to backup and yet not get prompt by password?

I think you need to be more specific - it's asking for which password? Apple ID? Something else?

the backup was probably encrypted which would cause them to set a password, the password needs to be entered to restore the backup

After the restore has completed, the backup process will want to reinstall all apps that were on the iPad at the time of the last backup. If there are apps that were installed with a different Apple ID, you may see additional store prompts during this phase.

It's ok to click cancel here. The apps that were purchased by someone else will not install (since you don't own them).
