I'm new to configuring restrictions using casper. I would like to get all your opinions to best practice and how best to achieve this.
I would like to restricted certain area's within System Preferences like "Security&Preferences" or can it be restricted within security&preferences even?
And other areas like Software Update
+11Using the Preferences section of an OSX restriction profile will allow you to either blacklist or whitelist items in System Preferences. Whatever sections you elect to remove access to will no longer have it's icon shown in the System Preferences window. Be warned, however, that this does not disable the preference pane entirely, and it is possible for users to get to the hidden preferences if they're determined.
This only works for the System Preferences sections that are built into the OS. If you have 3rd party software that creates additional sections, you may want to check out this discussion.
