We're looking @ creating an Update workflow for our clients.
The basic idea is that we'd cache updates (from the JSS & our ASUS's).
When updates are found to be cached, users are nagged to logout & then @ logout the update are installed.
Anyways, CS6 will be on these clients too.. & therefore I've looked a little into RUM. Can someone please advise on the below?
- Does RUM cache packages to install later on the client? (Like softwareupdate -d -a).
- Do RUM updates sometimes fail if an app is open? (Say a photoshop update).
- Can RUM be ran @ login window?/li]
- Can AUSST servers be cascaded to further save bandwidth?
- Can AAMEE update packages be installed @ login window?
