I remember a while back seeing someone on this list mentioning that they
only allow apps to be run from the Applications folder. I am currently
looking at implementing a similar setup. Is this done using Managed
Preferences or some other way? Any advice you could throw my way would be
helpful. Thanks!

I do this exact configuration and I use MCX to do it. I do it from an
OD server but Casper version 7 should be able to do the same thing.
