We run UTS and JSS Server on the same Mac server (Xserve – OS X Server 10.5.8). The two issues that we’ve encountered are that out of the box, they both want to use port 8443 for HTTPS connectivity and logging into one server will disconnect the other server login.
We let UTS pick a new port for JBoss HTTPS / Web Service in the Server Admin setup and restarted the server. We’re using Directory Service integration to add users in UTS, so we’re not in the UTS User Management section that much (compared to JSS). But I’ve noticed that if I have JSS connected in one browser tab and then open UTS in another browser tab, when I switch back to the JSS tab, I’m logged out.
Just upgraded to UTS 2.1.3 a few weeks ago, but we’re still running JSS 7.1 (plan to upgrade next month). Also hosts Quark QLA and Retrospect server backups and the CPU rarely pops above 20%.

This thread is so old, I'm not sure if I should start a new one, but does anyone have experience with newer versions of UTS and Casper (specifically UTS 5 and Casper 9)?
Hello, no problems here as long as you change conflicting ports in UTS ("UTS HTTP / Web Service" and "UTS Webservice") but be carefull as UTS 5 reset ports if you need to reinstall it (should be fixed in 5.1)
So, I would first install UTS, change ports n. and then install JSS
Hope this helps
