Safari jungle today

So, today was fun - had quite a number of students coming in suddenly with Safari crashing every time in iOS, just to discover it was a world-wide error on Apple's side for iOS as well as OS X. After looking up, disabling search suggestions or using private mode solved the issue...For now.

Makes me wonder how these things can happen, and if Apple doesn't have any two-step security process in place before they change things like this.

Yes, seems to be a global issue at the minute. Even reported on the BBC Website!

This works on El Cap as a temporary fix for OS X until they sort themselves out...

defaults write -app Safari SuppressSearchSuggestions -int 1

What if they had a two-step process and it still happened? I guess we need a three-step.
