+3We have just set up SCCM plugin in our lab. We have 3 Macs in our lab.
Every update, there is an update to hardware inventory - even though nothing has changed on the computer. Specifically, the Logical Disk information is being updated... but with the same information. This is causing bloat in the SCCM database.
Has anyone seen this before? Are there any settings that can be changed to avoid this?
+25in testing we are seeing the same thing. the SCCM admin for my company asked if there was a way to only record deltas but I have not found a way.
+16Yes. We purchased the plugin nearly a year ago and ran into this in our test environment. We've yet to put it into production due to the results it was having on our back-end SCCM DB.
We've been in contact with JAMF for many months but so far nothing has changed. Not sure if it's a technical challenge or lack of resources towards the development of the plugin.
+1As Brad has mentioned we have been working with JAMF on this for the last year. What it boils down to is the SCCM Plugin has a bug in the code that causes it to send only full hardware inventory updates instead of delta inventory updates as ddcdennisb mentioned. JAMF is aware of the issue and is working on updating the code.
