I've got a workgroup that wants to share screens among each other. They were wanting to use GoToMeeting - yuck.

Which got me to thinking, what are your favorite apps for accomplishing this between the end users?

@gskibum, we use Lync across our estate.

I'd not call it a "favourite" but has the function you've described.

I've been thinking about using Google Chrome Remote Desktop in our environment, but you are limited to one user account per machine. Unless you do it Goto assist style and have them click "assistant me" and type unique passwords each day. Works on all platforms as viewer, even IOS and Android.

If your teams are on the same network or on vpn connections I'd install Apple's Remote Desktop and limit acces down to the bare minimums. It would work very well in Mac only environments.

Good luck

we needed ldap or ad authentication, so we utilized casper, made a group for users with just remote access access and require authorization, and then generated a 'site' with just those machines that they could remote to and added that to their JSS user id's.

we use Cisco Jabber for our corporate IM and screen sharing. We use it because it ties into our Cisco VoIP for desk phone control and as a soft phone and Webex for bigger meetings. You can just do person to person screen sharing in it too.

Just throwing it out there, in case it's overlooked, Google Hangouts supports sharing an application or your whole screen.
