There is a script by jamf that allows us to upgrade to 10.13 using self service. This seems to be working for Mojave as well. I have a few issues with the Mojave install via self service. The installation freezes every now and then. Also, it doesn't force quit all apps. Some apps ask for permission to close. I think that may be responsible for the installation hanging. Has anyone found a fully working method for upgrading OS using self service?

Did you get this working? I need to get Mojave out there for some users that are behind in OS. We also have a firmware password to bypass.

Thanks!

Does the same workflow work for Catalina?

I used that PDF doc to simply install the Mojave installer in Applications. This is as a backup in case users still on 10.12 need to jump to 10.14 before they can upgrade to 11.0 Big Sur.
