I've seen a few threads about this, but I'm not sure if I've seen a definitive answer. Most of the threads like this one are about a year old. https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/discussion.html?id=8849

I'm curious to know if anyone has manged to get it working correctly.

I see a lot of talk about using Reposado instead. Anyone installed that on OS X Server 10.8 while it's also operating as a file server ? I've modified other versions in the past to serve up newer updates. Some of my initial tries at it haven't worked or the changed I've made seem to revert back to the way the files were stock.

It looked too complicated, so I went back to using the NetBoot/SUS Appliance on Ubuntu 12.0.4. My server crashed originally (we had a data center outage), but it didn't take long to get it back up and running with a reload. I'm downloading updates now.

My problem is that at 38 sites I have an OS X 10.8.5 server. I don't have any hardware to run a separate NetBook/SUS Appliance at those locations. I'd like to have it all happen from OS X server. Some sites we have are now on 10.9 Server so those won't be an issue.

Here is a link which shows you what and where the necessary files are that need to be modified. http://emeadeployment.blogspot.com/2012/10/hosting-mountain-lion-software-updates.html
